Best Potato Salad

This is my kind of comfort food. Probably because I love BBQ. And I love fried chicken. And I love potatoes. So not a big surprise. But I don’t like just any potato salad. I’m actually pretty picky. Don’t like it pre-fab from the grocery store. Not crazy about it at most casual restaurants. Usually don’t want anything to do with what they serve at fast food joints. But I love this stuff for a reason....

Dal Bukhara Recipe Holy Cow Vegan Recipes

There are many stories woven around India’s famous restaurant foods and how they originated, but Dal Bukhara comes with a true pedigree – it was created in the kitchen of what is often called the finest hotel in India: the Maurya Sheraton in New Delhi. Apparently a whole lot of thought went into making this – now considered the hotel’s signature dish – different from Dal Makhani, that other famous restaurant dal that served as the inspiration....

Easy Chinese Chilli Chicken Dry My Food Story

on Jan 11, 2022, Updated Jul 03, 2024 I love Indo Chinese food and I’m damn serious about Chinese chilli chicken. I’ve only been having chilli chicken for the last 30 years of my life (yes, I’m that old!) and it’s only like my favorite starter to order when we go out. I’ve always had the best chilli chicken at shady bars and dhabas. I don’t know what it is but a chilled glass of beer and chilli chicken make the best combination....

Easy Korean Beef Bulgogi

If you’ve never heard of beef bulgogi it’s time to learn. This is one of Korea’s national dishes. It’s been around for a couple thousand years. It means “fire beef”. Beef bulgogi can be grilled or stir fried Traditionally it’s grilled. That’s probably best but it’s tricky. Stir-frying is getting pretty big these days – probably because it’s way easier. But you can grill it. Just be ready to move fast....

The Indian festival season, which runs between the months of August and November, is a time for both feasting and fasting. Sure, there’s a ton of great food to be eaten during some of the biggest Hindu festivals that occur during this time, like Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dusshera, and Diwali.
