This drink is so easy and refreshing that we ended up drunk one afternoon because it’s hard to get enough of it. Also, it doesn’t help that Bangalore afternoons are getting warmer. I constantly cribbed about the cold all this while because I couldn’t take it, but now I wish it had stayed. But drinks like these make the summer worth it because to be honest, the perfect way to drink a glass of this would be while sitting in the balcony on a warm day. The freshness of Cucumbers, the tangy flavour of Lime and a dash of Chili flakes put together in one drink just bring out the best in it. It’s safe to say, we feel that this is one of the best crossovers in history and is going to be the show stealer if it’s on your menu for a house party. It will surely amaze your guests! Eh, we can’t get everything we want, right? Hence, the cocktail. The only prerequisite to this one is that you use good quality gin (We prefer Hendricks because it has these beautiful cucumber tones, but Bombay Sapphire or Beefeater work well too). This drink is a hit or a miss and it all depends on the choice you make in terms of Gin and of course, how fresh your cucumbers are! I’d want to be fair to those who do not have a taste for Gin so here’s an alternative – Vodka to the rescue!
